Durga Puja pandals within the municipality and its adjoining areas, Dibrugarh has been lavishly decorated for the autumn festivities.
Almost all puja pandals here are replicas of monuments, temples and famous buildings, besides valued animals like camels.
The festivities began today on Sashti.Enthused by devotional fervour, organisers of more than 80 celebration committees of Durga Puja have made all necessary arrangements to make their celebration a grand success across the district.
From the historic to the newly-registered puja celebration committees have been leaving no stone unturned to attract the devotees to their pandals which have been decorated with various thematic presentations.
Best time to visit-Oct-Nov.
It has been the biggest crowd puller since the past several years. Meanwhile, the district administration has put some restrictions on the plying of vehicles to contain the crowds and check traffic snarls. Several roads have been made one-ways and vehicles are being strictly regulated. Timings-11.00 am-6.00PM. Entry fees-free. During the navaratri festival people gather to enjoy the celebrations of Durga Puja.
